According to Microsoft Bing a Concussion  also known as mild traumatic brain injuries  are mild brain injuries caused by a bump, blow or jolt to the head.

Symptoms may include headache, dizziness, difficulty with thinking and concentration, sleep disturbances, mood changes, a brief period of memory loss, brief loss of consciousness; problems with balance; nausea; blurred vision; and mood changes.

Here are couple of methods to help CALM your "Concussion Symptoms"

  • Palming (Best for overstimulation situations)

1. Try sitting in a quiet (but not required) more so comfortable place.

2. Begin by rubbing your hands together to create heat

3. Make a "cup" with your palms

4. With your eyes still open cover them with your palms.

Remain in the position until your symptoms calm.

If there is a table or counter in front of you lean forward to ground your elbow for a  more comfort.

  • Grounding (Best for dizziness or overwhelming emotions)

This method works best laying down, seated or standing in a safe place.

Begin by assuming a comfortable position.

  1. Place your feet flat on the floor with your back against a supported surface (wall or pillow)
  2. Close your eyes and focus on the feeling of the surface supporting you. Imagine roots connecting you to that surface.
  3. Begin to breathe into that connected feeling for 3 - 5 easy breaths or as long as you may need.
